TPN (TAX PAYER NUMBER) REGISTRATION

Why do we collect TPN (Tax Payer Number), as per the new regulations from the Department of Customs, any or all goods, being imported to Bhutan, whether taxable, or non taxable, for personal or commercial goods, through any medium of import (Via Post, Courier, Bus, Land Transport, Air Transport, E-Commerce), has to be declared at the point of Entry, for which a TPN is compulsory, and it is mandated by the law, to properly declare (DFORM) all incoming goods to the country.
